Travis Veitenheimer is a native of the Wichita Falls area, growing up in Windthorst, TX. He graduated with honors from Midwestern State University in 2012 where he competed in collegiate football for all 4 years of his attendance. Upon graduation, he attended Texas A&M College of Medicine at Temple, TX training at Scott & White graduating with honors in 2017. He completed his Orthopedic Residency at the University of Oklahoma HSC in Oklahoma City in 2022. Travis completed his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis in Orthopedic Sports Medicine in 2023. He cared for athletes at many stages of competition, including working with the Saint Louis NHL Blues. XFL Battlehawks, MLB City SC, and D1 Lindenwood University. During his fellowship, he covered many sports such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer hockey, gymnastics, golf, and many more. He was privileged to be educated by attending surgeons who are leaders of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in many National Organizations. He trained to care for routine and complex sports injuries of the knee, shoulder, hip, and elbow in a wide age range including pediatrics, weekend warrior, and the “I still feel like an athlete” populations. Travis is also trained in caring for common orthopedic conditions and injuries including fracture care as well as joint replacement of the shoulder, knee, and hip.
Travis returns home to care for the community and athletes where he calls home. He is happily married to his wife, Emily and together they have 4 kids, Addison, Caden, Bennett, and Gabriel. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family traveling, being outdoors, or on the sideline cheering on his kids, athletes, or favorite teams.
